For Such A Time As This
All that is going on may be a surprise to us, but it is not a surprise to God. He was aware that you and I were going to face these times even before we were conceived in our mothers’ wombs.

A few months ago, I got a video via WhatsApp with Pastor John Hagee encouraging parents who were worried about the moral decadence that was going on in the world today. In it, he mentioned that in Bible times, there was moral depravity as well, but each person God positioned at those times were able to rise above the societal norm of their day and stand for / uphold the truth of Christ, despite the opposition against them.
I shared and saved that video, but I did not go back to re-watch it. Recently, though, I felt in my spirit a need to bring that message here. I’m not sure exactly who God is speaking to, but He wants you to know that you and I were made for such a time as this. The world indeed is going upside down. There is never a good story in the news – from increased poverty to inflation, to violence, to identity confusion and moral perversion championed by our governmental leaders in the name of political “correctness”, and so so so much more. It can be so discouraging for the believer. It has been very discouraging for me sometimes.
But even in these times, God wants us to know that He knew about these ever before the world began. All that is going on may be a surprise to us, but it is not a surprise to God. He was aware that you and I were going to face these times even before we were conceived in our mothers’ wombs. And if He ensured that we were birth safely, and called us into salvation, and has kept us alive up till now, it means that we are part of His plans and purposes for this exact time. So, as hands and feet of Jesus, He expects us to not be weary, but to keep on shining the light in our dark world. We are to continue to share the gospel to those around us, no matter what it would take. God was the Solution to the world’s problems in the times of Moses, Gideon, David, Esther, etc. He is still the Solution to the world’s problems today, and He has given us all we need in His holy word to stand strong, rise above, and succeed even in our day.
So, let’s not get discouraged or downcast. We have work to do, and time is not on our side. Keep on shining His light. Keep on living for Him against all odds, as you anticipate your home-return, when you will hear the only words that matter, “Well done, good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of your Lord.”
Be Blessed!
