God is Greater
...every lie we tell ourselves (or that the devil whispers in our ears) about us are grouped into 3 categories, only: “I am unlovable”, “I am helpless”, I am worthless”. But we know those are lies. Those are completely opposite of what God tells/shows the believer.

Some years ago, I was in a youth program and a lady came to talk to me. She was telling me about herself and there was nothing good she said. She felt unworthy of God’s love and she condemned herself. I listened attentively to her and when she was done. I opened my Bible to 1 John 3:20 and handed it to her to read.
I told her, “Read it out.” She did – “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.”
I said, “Read it again.” She did.
I told her for the third time, “Read it again.” She did.
Then I said, “Keep on reading it.” She continued.
As she read that verse repeatedly, I quietly listened to her and watched. After going over the verse a number of times, she broke down in tears. She was beginning to get it.
Guys, Satan is very wicked. There is nothing good about the devil. We need to know this. When the devil realizes he has lost a person to God, he finds other means to weigh that individual down. One very common tactic he uses is guilt and self-condemnation. He makes the believer wallow in guilt of past sins, making him/her see themselves as incapable of being saved. Satan knows that when a believer feels this way, he/she cannot serve God optimally and cannot fulfill purpose.
Hebrews 9:14 tells us that God purges our conscience from dead works so that we can serve the living God.
We recently concluded a book in our Ladies’ Bible Study at church, titled “Get out of your head” by Jennie Allen. In it, she mentions that every lie we tell ourselves (or that the devil whispers in our ears) about us are grouped into 3 categories, only: “I am unlovable”, “I am helpless”, I am worthless”.
But we know those are lies. Those are completely opposite of what God tells/shows the believer.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God loved you in your very worst state. So, you are LOVABLE.
Hebrews 13:5 reminds us of God’s promise, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
So, you are HELPED. You have a Helper who is always available.
Finally, Romans 8:32 tells us, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
If God could sacrifice His very best for you in your absolutely worst state, you are WORTH everything. You are of great value to God and to this world.
Never ever ever believe the lies of the devil or even the lies you tell yourself. You are lovable, you are helped and you are worthy.
And if those thoughts or feelings of unworthiness or self-condemnation come into your heart, just pick up your Bible and read out loud for the devil to hear, “Even if my heart condemns me, God is greater than my heart. Satan, if you condemn me, God is greater than you!”
