Let God Carry You!
God would never give us a task that He will not support us with. He never wants us to be overwhelmed or to drown while carrying out His purpose.

Wow! It’s 2024 already.
2023 was a very eventful year for me. It was a year of so many blessings and achievements, but that also meant it was a busy one for me. I was greatly stressed, especially in the latter part of the year. I have openly confessed that I love to work, I thrive by working, and it usually would take an immense amount of work to sink me. But for the first time in my life, I admitted to my husband that I was drowning. There was even one time I had a complete meltdown at work. It was a tough one for me.
When things began to slow down towards the end of the year, I prayed seeking God for what He had for me in 2024. As I listened to Him, I received the words, “divine empowerment”. I came to understand that 2024 would be a year of even more opportunities to be used by God. He desires to do more in and through me, and I am willing, ready, and available for more. But to succeed and stay afloat, I must surrender to Him – my methods, strategies, ways, and of course, my will. I must allow Him to strengthen me and work in and through me for His good pleasure (Philippians 4:13).
Psalm 127:1 (ESV) says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
To be a useful vessel for God, we must allow Him to chart the course of our lives and follow His leading. God would never give us a task that He will not support us with. He never wants us to be overwhelmed or to drown while carrying out His purpose.
Therefore, allowing Him to strengthen us would mean that we are doing only what He directs us to do and not running ahead of Him. Interestingly, whilst preparing for church service on December 31st, my husband shared a similar word that God gave to Him about us for 2024, quoting Isaiah 40:31, which says, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Waiting may not seem progressive, but if that is what God wants a person to do at any time, that is exactly what should be done.
In 2024, as God has impressed upon my spirit, I urge you to wait upon Him, allow Him to lead you, allow Him to work in and through you for His good pleasure and allow Him to strengthen you for the work that He gives you to do. Let God carry you so that you can soar higher than you have ever imagined.
Happy New Year!
