"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

Philippians Bible Study

The book of Philippians is known for its many mentions of “joy” and “rejoice”, as you will soon find out. Paul’s decision to rejoice and his instructions to the saints at Philippi to do the same while he was in a dark space in his life and ministry are an encouragement to every believer.

Philippians Bible Study Guide

Hey! Thank you for choosing the Philippians Bible Study guide. This bible study guide has been designed in a way to support individuals and study groups as they study the Paul's epistle to the saints at Philippi, using interpretative and life-application questions.

Each lesson contains sections on the following:

Prayer and thanksgiving: Before the start of each study, you should take a few minutes to thank God for what He has done and make requests to Him for you and others.

Memory Verse: Memory verses are great tools for constantly meditating on the Word of God. Students should take them as seriously as the Bible Study discussions. This verse(s) will stick with you even though nothing else in the passage does.

Scratch the Surface: This is an observation section where students can record thoughts, questions, remarks, keywords, etc. as they relate to the Bible passage for each lesson.

Find the Treasures: Students get to correctly interpret the passage they have read; meditate upon it and discuss with others (if studying as a group).

Life Application Plan: Each student has the opportunity of not only hearing the Word, but doing it, and putting into practice what they have learned.

Share: God is particular about us teaching others what we have learned (2 Timothy 2:2), so for every lesson, plan to share your learnings with at least one person.

Digging Deeper: Every chapter in this book is packed with terms that students should get familiar with. The “Digging Deeper” section gives one the opportunity of seeking meanings/applications to some terms identified in each lesson’s Bible reading. Students should consider this section a “take-home assignment” and tackle it before the next Bible Study.

Lessons are divided up into 8 weeks, but users can pace themselves through the guide as it suits them.
