Satan Lied. God Does Love You!
One lie that Satan tells people is that God does not love them. Those who believe that God does not love them have condemned themselves to being a “reject” in God’s sight.

One lie that Satan tells people is that God does not love them. Those who believe that God does not love them have condemned themselves to being a “reject” in God’s sight. They have assumed, wrongly, that God’s love is rationed and for one thing or the other (usually by a fault of theirs), God’s ration of love cannot get to someone like them. This feeling is defeating, saps them of faith and usually lasts long and runs deep.
But this is a lie. Satan is a liar. We must understand that is what he is. John 8:44 calls the devil a liar and the father of lies.
God is good, inherently good. He is naturally “love”. Love is not just what God is. Love is “who” He is.
1 John 4:7, 16 - 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
He is not just loving. He is love.
What is love? John 15:13 tells us – Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Love is the willingness of one to lay down his life, will, desires, preferences, etc. for another person. It is expressed in the characteristics that we see in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 – kind, patient, not envious, thinks the best of every person, etc.
God’s love runs even deeper. Looking at the definition of love as described above in John 15:13, one can see that God meets that definition of love. His love – Him, as love – was best experienced by the world through the laying down of His life.
To debunk this lie that God does not love you, let us look at the manner of God’s love – 1 John 3:10.
It is sacrificial love. A love that gives – John 3:16; Romans 5:8; John 15:13.
His love is non-discriminatory and covers everyone – sinners (Romans 5:8), the world (John 3:16), the evil/unjust (Matthew 5:45), the good/just, those who love Him (Proverbs 8:17), believers (1 John 4:10, 16).
His love is everlasting – Jeremiah 31:3.
His love is steadfast, unchanging, constant, unwavering, unswerving, and unshakable – Psalm 86:15; Romans 8:38-39; Isaiah 54:10.
His love is tender – gentle, dear, caring, compassionate, beautiful, sensitive – Zephaniah 3:17; Isaiah 46:4.
His love is filled with all the characteristics of love outlined in 1 Corinthians 13.
His love moved Him to bring a permanent solution to humanity’s sin problem – 1 John 4:18; 1 Peter 4:8; Ephesians 2:4-5.
His love is unconditional. It is not based on what we did or did not do. If it were based on our good records, Jesus would never have come to earth to die. We all did not deserve God’s love, yet He gave Himself for us – Romans 5:6-8; Romans 3:23.
His love is immeasurable and surpasses knowledge. One cannot know the extent of His love.
In His love, He corrects, and it may not be fun, but it is necessary for us – Hebrews 12:5-17. Chastisement does not mean God does not love us. It actually means the exact opposite. It means that He loves us very much. Hebrews 12 tells us that a father corrects the child He loves. So hard times should not make us conclude that God does not love us. He absolutely does.
Henceforth, when going through hard times, do not assume or conclude that God does not love you. He does love you – very much. And He will be with you till gold is revealed through you.
