"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning." (Lamentations 3:22-23)

The Mightiness of God

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:36)

Too Mighty for Our Finite Minds

The mightiness of God is something that the finite human mind cannot fully grasp. We can only know God to the extent to which He reveals Himself. We cannot know Him completely, neither can we know or understand all of His plans. This is why we are charged to trust and believe in Him. It is by faith that we can relate with such a mighty God. We cannot work up our knowledge of Him, nor can we fully comprehend what we know about Him. Genesis 15:6 says that Abraham believed God and it was accounted to Him as righteousness. All of God's promises to Abraham were things that his human mind could not logically outline. He had only two options: Trust or Abandon. He chose to trust.

There may be some things that God has told you would happen and you cannot understand how it would happen. He's not asking for us to understand Him, He's asking for us to trust in Him. We cannot fully grasp God because He is too mighty. In my Bible study some time ago, I took down the following notes on the mightiness of God. I hope it exposes you a little to how might our God is.
